Robert Paxton "Rob" Gronkowski (born May 14, 1989), nicknamed "Gronk", is an American football tight end to the New England Patriots from the National Football League (NFL). He played college football games to the University of Arizona, and has been picked in the New England Patriots on the 2nd round from the 2010 NFL Draft.
During 2011 Gronkowski, in his second year on the NFL, set the single-season history for touchdowns by the tight end along with 17 getting touchdowns, and eighteen total, as well as the single-season record for getting yards by the tight end, having 1,327. That season, he became the primary tight end inside NFL history to lead the league on obtaining touchdowns. In his 1st 3 seasons, he had thirty eight obtaining touchdowns in forty three games; no other tight end has received over 25.
